Walking Football has very similar rules to 5 a sides but there is no running and minimum physical contact which makes it an ideal activity for older players or those with injuries preventing full contact sports. Some of the many benefits include: - Opportunity to improve and maintain general fitness & lose weight - Socialising with like minded people - Rediscovering the joys of football - An overall sense of wellbeing and reducing isolation The current age group ranges from mid 40's to late 80's and newcomers are most welcome. We are a community club who welcome anyone with an interest in football – regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, religion/belief, nationality etc. We pride ourselves on being able to achieve this aim whilst still remaining competitive on the football pitch. We compete in many events and tournaments so as to meet the needs of all our members, from 5-a-side competitions, to friendlies against local sides, to the GFSN National League and Cup to international tournaments like the Gay Games. There’s really something for everyone! We also organise regular socials and kick-abouts, and would love to hear from anyone anywhere in Scotland who would like to take part.
